I have not done Motion Capture with a Motion Capture system (harness, rig, etc.), -but I agree that would be very cool.
Instead, I use Motion Capture files. There are a lot of Motion Capture Library's on the net (.bip, .bvh, etc.). I have worked with some studios, -where they were doing Motion Capture, & my job was to take the motion capture data and turn it into an animation that looked good / would work well for 3ds Max .
very nice .
Im curious : i have made it so fare in 3dmax that i made some (metroid prime-like) character hitting (with hes feet) a tea-pot , and of course following with the tea-pot flying awai , but now what im wondering about : wich part do u do with 3dmax and wich with motion capture (that i dont know) becose me character whas made of cubes sweres coruses and other geometric formes ,not like this ... so (finaly) my question is : did u made the skin with 3dmax too ? or do u only do the basics with 3dmax ?
Well , i hope that with this story u will understand my question , im bad in english ...
Thank You! Yes, a background would add a lot, I completely agree!
The Flash thing, Sure! I'd be happy too. Are you Mac or XP? What version of Flash do you use? (Flash 8 Pro, Flash MX 2004, etc. -just checking for sending you files). I'll send you a note with a link to a zip, with a Flash file in it, with all of the Buttons & preloader bar set-up. Hopefully, all you will need to do is import your image sequence or movie 'To Stage,' and your sounds/audio 'To Library,' and you'll be set (fingers crossed ). And/Or, it would be no problem for me to take your animation > add it to a Flash file and send it back to you (just so you could see how I added your animation to the Flash).
